WOKLANE · PAYMENT & SECURITY

Protect your payment through banks and insurers — never through us.

Don’t fully trust a factory you’ve never met? For larger orders, buyers commonly use bank-supervised payment and export credit insurance — provided by licensed banks and insurers. Woklane can introduce suitable partners and coordinate factory checks and inspection around your chosen route. You pay the factory, a bank, or an escrow account directly — Woklane only collects a transparent service fee for its work.

Money never through us · Bank-supervised funds · Inspection-gated release · Export credit insurance

The problem — and how it’s solved

A first-time buyer worries the factory won’t deliver after taking a deposit. The factory won’t start production until the deposit — and often the balance — is secured. The answer isn’t to trust a middleman with your money. It’s to put licensed banks and insurers between the two sides, and keep the money out of anyone’s pocket until milestones are met.

How your payment can be protected — you choose

Bank fund supervision / escrow

Your funds sit in a supervised bank or escrow account and are released to the factory against agreed milestones — not sent to it up front. Hong Kong and mainland China options can be arranged, subject to bank approval.

Letter of Credit (L/C)

Your bank pays the factory only when it presents compliant documents — including a pre-shipment inspection certificate. You don’t pay for goods you can’t verify; the factory has your bank’s credit standing behind the deal.

Export credit insurance

The factory can be covered by export credit insurance (mainland options such as Sinosure, or international insurers). The insurer assesses the buyer and covers the factory against non-payment — so it can produce and offer terms with more confidence.

Inspection-gated release

Whichever route you choose, we help make a pre-shipment inspection a condition of release. Money moves when the goods are checked against your spec — not before.

Where Woklane sits

  • Woklane Limited (Hong Kong) is your service partner. It collects only a transparent service fee for its work, in line with Hong Kong regulations. It does not take title to goods and does not hold your payment for goods.
  • Sourcing, factory checks and contracting are carried out by our supply-chain team in Nanjing, China, which deals with the factories.
  • Your goods payment goes to the factory, a bank, or a supervised/escrow account directly — never into a Woklane account. Banks provide the fund security; insurers provide the cover; we provide the factory checks and coordination.

The strongest reassurance we can give

We can’t run off with your money — because we never hold it.   Banks secure the funds.   Insurers carry the cover.   We check the factory and coordinate.

Our role — and where it ends

This page is general information about payment and security options Woklane can help coordinate and introduce — it is not legal, financial, insurance, tax or regulatory advice, and it is not an offer or a guarantee. Availability of any bank facility (fund supervision, escrow or letter of credit) or export credit insurance depends on the specific order, the factory, and approval by the relevant licensed bank or insurer; those services are provided by, and on the terms of, those third parties. Woklane provides factory checks and coordination only; our checks are not a guarantee of any factory’s identity, quality, compliance or performance, and we accept no responsibility for the result. Woklane Limited (Hong Kong) collects a service fee only and does not hold your payment for goods; sourcing and factory contracting are carried out by our team in Nanjing, China. Nothing here forms part of any agreement — the actual terms are those set out in your signed contracts with Woklane and with the relevant bank, insurer and factory. All arrangements are subject to applicable international and Hong Kong law. As the buyer or importer of record, you remain solely responsible for your own due diligence and for meeting all legal and regulatory requirements in your market before acting.
